Taylor McPherson | MA, LPC
Taylor McPherson (She/Her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about being present with human beings during their life experiences. Taylor considers therapy to be deeply personal and offers a place for individuals to self-reflect, process traumatic experiences, and embrace their authenticity. Taylor’s intention is to help her clients get through their trauma and other painful experiences, rather than “get over” them. Above all else, Taylor believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and how it can be the beginning of long-lasting change. Taylor brings her authentic, imperfect self into sessions and welcomes clients to do the same.
Taylor works with teens, adults, and couples navigating childhood trauma, depression, anxiety/panic attacks, borderline personality disorder, adult children of parents with substance abuse issues, mother wounds, and family conflict. Taylor’s therapeutic framework relies on interventions from psychodynamic, attachment/relational, parts work, and behavioral theories. Taylor believes in the importance of exploring client’s upbringing and family patterns, processing emotions, building skills, and cultivating a therapeutic relationship that is built on trust and safety. Taylor operates from a body neutral, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse affirming lens and believes in the importance of creating a safe place for all clients.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys bird watching (especially geese), reading romance and “romantasy” books, spending time in nature, taking slow strolls through Target, and creating music playlists.
