Mario Fernandez | MS, MHP

With over 20 years of experience in education, Mario brings a diverse background to his counseling practice. He has taught at the middle school, high school, and university graduate levels, and he currently serves as a dedicated school counselor. His approach to counseling is grounded in existential-solution-focused therapy, complemented by CBT strategies and Trauma-Informed Care.

Mario specializes in facilitating group counseling sessions, addressing a range of topics such as ADHD in teens, adult ADHD management, men’s issues, first-generation college student experiences, and trauma recovery. He is passionate about creating a collaborative and supportive group environment where participants can connect, learn, and grow together.

Outside of work, Mario enjoys spending time with his family, distance running, reading, drawing, journaling, exploring his interest in fashion, creating, and working with his hands. These activities fuel his passion for creativity, growth, and connection, which he bring into his counseling practice.
